Legislation: LD 476 Hearing
On March 24 at 10:00 am the Maine legislature's Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee will be hearing
LD 476 An Act To Provide Licensed Assisted Living and Nursing Facilities Levels of Care for Incarcerated Persons
This is priority legislation for MPAC this session. We are looking for people with lived experience who would be willing to testify before the committee and for people who would be willing to write letters to the editor in local papers and or contact their legislators to express support for this bill. Please let me know if you would like to do either of these. I am attaching information on testifying and talking points for letters and testimony.
