On November 14th , Nicole Lund led a discussion on Mass Incarceration in order to minimize stigma and shame that surrounds this topic. Lund began the conversation with an overview of what incarceration in America is today, statistical information, and a brief history lesson followed by why she is passionate about this line of work. “It is my hope that by the end of this conversation, you’ll see the importance of addressing this very significant issue in our society.” Lund explained.

My Sister's Keeper
Network of volunteers assist with community re-entry and avoiding recidivism through a lay-mentoring relationship and by providing material and other resource assistance; material assistance may include furniture, clothing, personal care items, or limited financial assistance.
Volunteers for Hancock Jail Residents (VHJR)
Communications bridge between the outside and inside community at Hancock County Jail; 1-to-1 visiting/mentoring, post-release referral services, stress reduction, anger management; computer, writing, and exercise classes; volunteer opportunities.
