A celebration will be held on Friday, January 24 at the Maine State Prison for the 20th Anniversary of the NAACP Prison Branch, while also observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and to honor Joseph Jackson, one of the founding members of the NAACP MSP Chapter and Executive Director of the Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition. This event underscores the achievements made over the years and emphasizes the need to continue the vital work for a more equitable and just society for all.
