Inside Vision Film Screening at MSP: THE SEARCH FOR GENERAL TSO

MPAC will be hosting a film screening of The Search for General Tso this month as part of their Inside Vision Film Screening series for incarcerated audiences at the Maine State Prison (MSP). This documentary explores the origins of one of America’s favorite Chinese dishes, General Tso’s chicken, while delving into the broader cultural journey of Chinese food in the United States.

The screening aims to foster dialogue and reflection on cultural identity, history, and the significance of food in community and belonging. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the film’s themes and share their perspectives following the viewing.

This event is part of MPAC’s commitment to providing access to culturally relevant content and encouraging meaningful conversations among individuals in correctional facilities. We hope to create an inclusive environment where everyone can connect with the material and each other.
